Horizon Demo

PC technical requirements:

  • CPU at least 600 MHz, RAM at least 256 Mb, free disc space at least 250 Mb;
  • Monitor resolution 800x600, preferable 1024x768;
  • Operating system MS Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP SP2 or Windows server 2003 SP1.

1. Extract downloaded archive and run setup.exe!

2. Select preferable database installation type:
Horizon Demo MSSQL installation, if you already have an MSSQL server. 
You need to make a database with following parameters in advance:

  • Authentication: SQL Server and Windows (Mixed mode);
  • Server collation: Latvian_CI_AS.

MSSQL server and Horizon Demo version installation, if you don’t have an MSSQL or Oracle database.
In this case MSDE2000 will be set on your computer automatically. (Total amount about 130 Mb).

Horizon Demo Oracle installation, if you have an Oracle server.
You need to make a database with following parameters in advance:

  • Database Character set BLT8CP921;
  • National character set UTF8.

3. Database connection parameters:
Depending on installation type, enter database server administrator password. In case of MSDE2000 installation password will be chosen by you.

4. After database setup there will be an installation of Horizon client part. Follow all guidelines during the installation.

5. There will be placed an "Horizon Demo" icon on your desktop.

6. Connection to the system:

  • Login: demo;
  • Password: demo.
