Apvārsnis changes the brand name and further on will be known as Horizon

Starting as of today May 26, 2008 as a part of developing a product suitable for the international market the Latvian developed IT solution Apvārsnis has changed its brand name to the resource management system Horizon.
”Changing of the brand is the result of a purposeful product development process. We have consistently developed and extended its functionality to make it suitable not only for business needs in Latvia but to make it competitive also on the international market. Software known as Apvārsnis is already the most widely used resource planning and management tool for medium and large companies, central and local government institutions in Latvia” underlines Chairman of the Board of FMS Group Jānis Bergs. „However, in order to be competitive also outside Latvia it is important the brand name is easily perceived and understandable.”
The functionality of resource planning system Horizon supports a complete management cycle of financial or other resources of a company or organisation including collecting and accounting of financial data, recording and accounting of cash flow and bank transactions, settlement of accounts with suppliers and clients, advance payments, contract accounting. This tool can be used for the management of financial, human resources, goods and services as well as different business processes. Horizon can be easily integrated and adjusted to specific business requirements, it is suitable for multilingual needs of international companies (the solution is available in Latvian, English, Lithuanian and Estonian).
Horizon is suitable for different sectors among those being commerce, manufacturing, real estate management, forestry and timber industries. We have developed Horizon Web – a solution providing access to business data and to business processes management by using a standard internet browser anywhere and at any time.
